Jan 29 - Kamal Muara, North Jakarta is under water most of the days in the month due to high tide phenomenon. -
Jan 29 - Today, HFH Indonesia's DR Team will distribute House Cleaning Kits and station Community Cleaning Kits (Generators, Water pumps) in Kamal Muara, North Jakarta. -
Jan 26 - The employees from Manulife Indonesia joined in the distribution. Manulife Indonesia donated the Cleaning Kits and also the Baby Kits. -
Jan 26 - Baby Kits were also distributed to families with small children in Penjaringan, North Jakarta. -
Jan 26 - Flood victims posed before their Home Cleaning Kits distributed by HFH Indonesia in Penjaringan, North Jakarta. -
Jan 22 - People who live along the bank of the river face the dangers of floods always.

Today, Jan 20, 2013, Sunday - James L. Tumbuan, National Director, HFH Indonesia, distributed Shelter Cleaning Kits.

From this data, there are more than 1,300 people evacuees from 6 villages. They have not gone back yet to their flooded houses.

Even in the midst of disaster, children have their own way of enjoying the situation. :-) -
HFH Indonesia worked together with Humanitarian Forum Indonesia (HFI) to distribute 100 boxes of Aqua (bottled water). -
Cars stalled. Can't move anymore. -
The Presidential Palace was not spared. The President, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, inspected the floods at the grounds of the palace. -
Properties are damaged. -
Another complex under water. -
"You are safe! Let's go through this together." -
Water is everywhere! -
Helping hands are always available in times of need. -
In some areas, water is up to the roof of the houses. -

Habitat for Humanity Indonesia will do a long term response to the
flood disaster in Telukbango Village, Karawang, Jawa Barat.
The assessment showed that:
1. There are 165 slightly damaged
houses
2. There are 90 heavily damaged
houses
3. There are 28 totally damaged houses
For the Slightly Damaged Houses, HFH Indonesia,
depending on the need, may do the following:
1. Wall
Plastering
2. Replace the roof
3. Replace the
ceiling
4. Build room partition
5. Provide concrete
flooring
For the Heavily Damaged Houses, HFH Indonesia,
depending on the need, may do the following:
1. Build concrete
foundation
2. Change the structure of the house
3. Replace
the roof
4. Replace the wall
5. Provide concrete
flooring
6. Provide room partition
For the Totally Damaged Houses, HFH Indonesia
will:
1. Build a new house (2 bedrooms, 1 living room, 1 toilet,
1 kitchen)
2. Provide access to clean water.
Right now, the affected families are either staying with their
relatives or building a makeshift structure near their damaged house.
They need our help to rebuild their homes and rebuild their lives!
