Join us in supporting communities affected by the Thane Cyclone by volunteering or donating to the YouthBUILD 2012!
Tomorrow's leaders in India are the youth today. Habitat for Humanity India recognizes the importance of involving youth in the work of building homes, transforming communities, and changing lives. YouthBuild 2012 is an opportunity to partner with youth in South India to build homes for communities impacted by a cyclone that struck in December, 2011. Thane Cyclone devastated communities in South India leaving more than 100,000 people without homes. Habitat for Humanity India has been instrumental in disaster response throughout India and has successfully reconstructed homes for impacted communities. In South India alone, 13,000 homes have been constructed for families impacted by natural disasters.
In response to the Thane Cyclone, Habitat for Humanity has organized an opportunity for the youth of India to respond to the incredible need for shelter in impacted communities. On May 12th, 2012, youth volunteers will be involved in the reconstruction of homes for some of the communities devastated by Thane cyclone. YouthBuild 2012 needs 125 youth to make this goal possible. Please consider joining in this incredible opportunity to positively impact families and communities by providing them with new homes.
YouthBuild 2012 needs volunteers and donors like you to change lives for the better. Join us or donate today!
