In partnership with the Philippine Bloggers Awards, Inc., Habitat for Humanity Philippines encourage bloggers to support the cause of the foundation through the Youth Build 2012, a build activity that will gather 2,000 youth that will help rebuild the lives of families whose homes were totally damaged by the typhoon. The Philippine Bloggers Awards Inc. is raising funds for a Bahay Blogger (Blogger House).
One morning of September 2011, Cherry and Edgar woke up finding the wind lashing on their roof and walls. The waves were starting to rise. Their first instinct was to save their children. They ran to the nearest evacuation center frightened, drenched, and famished. That was the plight of the Cea family who lived at the coastal area of Navotas.
The family is still living in the evacuation center but is hoping for a new home that will keep them safe, healthy and secure. As Habitat for Humanity Philippines help build homes for families with similar situation as the Ceas, the Philippine Blog Awards, Inc. is raising funds for one of the 200 homes that will be built during the Youth Build 2012 on May 12.
With your help, we will be able to build a new home for a family in need.
