Hi Everyone,
The first time and the last time I have volunteered for Habitat for Humanity Youthbuild was during my freshman year in the University which was many moons ago, (okay just 11 years ago) in Silang Cavite. Whilst it was just helping haul the debris and clean the construction area, I was given a nudge on the reality that your small ways can create bigger if not relative impact to the people you help and their commmunity.
11 years after, here I am finding ways to rekindle those moments and the old feeling of self fulfillment I had during the whole day I spent in Silang, Cavite building houses for the chosen families there. You too can experience those, you and I may not have the luxury of time to particiate in the actual build but there will always be ways to get the help across. One of which is this.
I am knocking on your generosity on helping me raise the funds for the possible projects that would help support sustainable development in communities in our country. Your small change can make that bigger change happen for the lives of these children, their community and when the time comes, progress for them would spread like wildfire.
I am grateful of your interest in reading my story here. Thank you for taking your time and I would hope that one way or another, I was able to touch your heart and mind in considering on helping me raise funds for the builds here in the Philippines.
Sincerely,
Anne
