STUFF ABOUT ME:
Anglo Chinese School (International) is a Methodist school which aim to develop future leaders with an international vision, moral character, intellectual ability and deep compassion for humanity based upon Christian belief and values.
This year, ACS (International) will fight poverty together with Habitat for Humanity (HFH), a non-profit Christian housing organisation which aims to eliminate poverty by building simple and decent place to live for needy families regardless of background, races and religions.
With the main aim of raising awareness of the issue of homelessness , ACS (International) is launching “The Art of Battling Homelessness”, an art colouring competition for all children in Singapore in the month of March. For a min donation of $2, children would get to submit their artwork and win attractive prizes.
By raising awareness of the issue of homelessness, the school hopes that more people will join in the efforts to create decent places where ‘Every child has a place to live, a place to call home.’
The main event would take place on 6th April 2013 (10am - 6pm) at Wisma Atria where the judging of the works of the colouring competition would be conducted. In addition, there would be an exhibition of the works of HFH. Paper ‘bricks’ would also be on sale for the public to help build a record-setting wall, symbolising the united efforts of all in making the world a better place to live.
